Can we shop for groceries nearby?

Yes, Troncones has a few small grocery stores and some restaurants. You can get basic staples such as fruit, vegetables, milk, coffee, juice, beer, sugar, bread, cheese and tortillas.  We provide bottled water at the casa, but you can also get it in town. 

For more extensive grocery shopping, you can go to Ixtapa or even better, Zihuatanejo. Right on Mexico 200 in Zihua there's a large store, "Bodega,"  and all over Zihua there are specialty meat markets, bakeries, supermarkets, and much more to explore.

It's an especially fun and great cultural experience, to go to the Mercado Municipal (Municipal Market) in downtown Zihua. You can get almost anything you want.  Lots of our guests "stock up" in Zihua before coming out to Troncones and then they replenish their supplies on later visits to town.
